Guitar Lessons in Santa Cruz, California For Sale

I can teach you to play guitar! All levels/ages welcome. 1/2 hr ($25), 45min ($35), and 1hr ($40) lessons available. We will assess your ultimate goals and develop a series of small steps to achieve them.
For example:
-If your goal is to become a songwriter we can spend time focusing on the concepts of functional progression, the theory behind leading tones, chord subs, etc...
-If you want to play a rocking solo over a blues, rock or jazz progression we can work on the tools needed to build the tensions, resolve those tensions, the concepts of harmony, scale patterns, scales over chords and explore common progressions, scales, arpeggiosetc...
-Or maybe you just want to be able to play some fun tunes to impress your friends or kids (or cat or dog)... WE CAN DO THAT TOO!!
I WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH A CUSTOMIZED LESSON PLAN INCLUDING;
- "Jam tracks" of progressions, songs, etc... to practice along with. We will also record you playing!!
- Printouts of customized work sheets for theory, scales, inversions, arpegios, etc...
We can go as in depth or as easy going as you want.
It's up to you.
ABOUT ME
I have studied under a Berklee College Of Music graduate for 6 years focusing my studies on Jazz and theory. I have completed Cabrillo College's music program, and am currently finishing a degree in composition, which means I can offer a well-rounded musical education.
I've been teaching for over 10years maintaining a roster of 25 to 30 students consistently, ranging in age from 5 years old to 67.
While specializing in Jazz, and Blues, I have a deep knowledge of Rock, Funk and many other styles of music. I've been playing professionally with bands for over 20 years sharing the stage with people like Tommy Castro, Roy Rodgers, John Lee Hooker Jr., Leon Russell, Keith Greninger, and many others. I have performed many times on the Sleepy John radio show "Please Stand By" on KPIG 107.5 and other bay area radio shows. I have a lot of experience with songwriting, arranging and recording.
You'll find that my rates are very reasonable, and I'm good with kids.
