Performance Foodservice Ledyard is recruiting for a Router, Swing Shift. Responsible for calculating routes and times of deliveries, and makes the necessary adjustments for drivers and customers. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duties assigned to best serve the company Duties Establish delivery routes which are cost effective while still maintaining an acceptable level of customer quality and satisfaction. Keep current with transportation and delivery costs. Keep current with delivery time schedules and logistics. Interact with customers and vendors in a friendly, timely and quality manner; ensure customers and vendors questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Establish routing procedures and schedules which allow for the optimum use of personnel and equipment. Perform general computer operations daily. Perform backhaul reports on a monthly basis. Organize layover log and write in drivers name, route and equipment. Organize a schedule and print sign off sheets for the following day. Make maps for drivers that are not familiar with the route assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience Required Experience: 2 - 4 Years Please specify: Procurement, warehouse and / or administrative experience in related area.
